send and receive sms in bitrix24

FullView Solutions have partnered with SMSDepot to integrate the sending and receiving of SMS messages into your Bitrix24 CRM modules at a rate of 20c per SMS.

The greatest benefit of this solution is that you can receive responses from customers to allow them to opt-out, making your communication POPIA compliant.

"“SMS has been around for over 25 years, but its ability to capture people’s attention is not only still relevant – it’s unparalleled. Open rates are as high as 98% compared to 22% for email, giving businesses the assurance that their messages are seen. Texting is the original “mobile app.” www.Customerthink.com

ARE THE DAYS OF THE SMS COUNTED?

Johanika Pretorius - FullView Solutions Director - published 05/10/2021

This was my thoughts, but when WhatsApp crashed on Monday, it confirmed that SMS has its place in the market as a reliable communication channel.

Have you ever tried to send an urgent WhatsApp to a customer, but the message is not delivered in time because either one of the two parties did not have an internet connection? I have and it is very frustrating, but then I remembered the good old faithful SMS and my message was delivered.

Despite the growth in multiple digital channels and social media platforms, SMS marketing remains the most consistent way to communicate with customers, as SMS delivery has a reliable broad and data-free reach.

Three reasons why SMS is here to stay.

reliability

1. It's reliable

“SMS has been around for over 25 years, but its ability to capture people’s attention is not only still relevant – it’s unparalleled. Open rates are as high as 98% compared to 22% for email, giving businesses the assurance that their messages are seen. Texting is the original “mobile app.” www.Customerthink.com.

cost effective

2. No Data needed

There is nothing to download and even if you’re out of WiFi range, you can still receive messages. It is reliable, convenient and ubiquitous.” www.Customerthink.com
SMS doesn’t require the customer to be online, have a specific phone model or app and most important, doesn’t cost them anything to receive. Most mobile packages have a large amount of SMS’s included or even unlimited SMS’s available.

availability

3. Everyone has it

Even the most basic phone can send or receive an SMS. According to GSMA statistics from 2020 indicated that there are 930 million active SIM connections in South Africa, making all of them part of your audience. It comes standard on almost every phone and is heavily used, especially by the highly sought after millennial consumer.

Beyond the limits of SMS

As effective and reliable as SMS is, however, it does have limits. There is, after all, only so much you can say in 160 characters. So why not combine the best of both worlds.

“By merging the power of multimedia and SMS messaging you can easily direct customers to any space online or increase your website foot traffic within minutes.” SMS depot offers this solution on their SMS platform. You can send an SMS with a link to a landing page that is relevant to this specific customer.
